What's New in Version 3.11
Just a bit of spring bug cleaning and dusting under the hood. Also, ABBA is back so we added 20% more sunshine to our login screen to celebrate this joyous occasion. Happy upgrading!
What's New in Version 3.10
No more slow-mo snow. Alongside some other bug fixes, we've got a faster, smoother login screen. This will come as a saving grace for some of our most active customers, who—though enchanted by the majestic winter scenery—may have needed up to 13 or 15 seconds to login. Hats off to our backend team. Happy upgrading!
What's New in Version 3.9.4
A new app look,

This update is for sure not.

So here's a haiku.

Almost one month down in 2018. Time moves fast, huh? This is already our third update this month and a big one is coming in a couple weeks. This one is just some fine-tuning. Enjoy the rest of the month, and until soon.
What's New in Version 3.9.2
Yellow underwear, 3.9.2, and polka dots.

New year. New update. What does that have to do with yellow underwear and polka dots?

Setting a resolution for the new year can seem pretty daunting. And sometimes counterintuitive. How? Setting insurmountable goals for yourself is a shortcut to self-sabotage. Or putting the horse in front of the carriage. Small, everyday changes amount to big progress. Here are a some small ways we're going to break things up this year.

1. Fix orphan bugs. Bugs live together. Just like in code. Forget one, it multiplies. Tying up unfinished business (taxes, debt, etc.) can free up time. Give yourself some time to do some busywork. It pays for itself. We've fixed a bunch of little bugs in this update. So enjoy the fresh, updated feel.
2. Be more colorful. That's the yellow underwear. It's a New Year tradition in Venezuela. And a quick way to brighten up your day. We've got some new marketing campaigns coming up that use some, ahem, colorful language.
3. Break things up. That's polka dots. In the Philipines, round shapes mean wealth. Round things are marvelous. They let things, thoughts, concerns pass by them and they break up patterns. Do something new. We're rolling out N26 Metal this year. It's a rounded package for your digital needs.

Watch out new year. Here's to oranges (round things), new patterns in life, and a smooth app experience. Did you know 2018 already started with a supermoon? If that's not a good omen, we're not sure what is. See you soon for some big, exciting changes. And please leave a review or rating if you like our notes. It makes us proud.
What's New in Version 3.7.1
3.7.1 is here, and we've beautified our app to support the iPhone X fully. That's kinda great because now we support FaceID, unleashing the full power of that bezel-less notch. To celebrate our seamless notch integration, we're giving you:
A quick history of notches.
Notches have had many uses throughout mankind's history. From recording your height on door frames as you age to nocks (or notches) on the end of arrows to hold them on the bow's string when drawn.
What might be the most ingenious notching, however, came in the form of tally sticks, which societies from the Paleolithic era, right up to Medieval times, used in place of currency. It was a pretty clever way of accounting—you didn't need to know how to read or scrounge up precious metal for coins. Henry I used them for taxes in medieval England. You'd carve notches onto both sides of a lovely hazlewood stick, break it in half and give the longer stick to the debtor. If you can believe it, this system continued until the 19th century, until slowly being phased out. Hooray! To celebrate the disposal of these odious symbols of century-old debt, they decided to chuck them into a coal-fired stove in the House of Lords and watch them burn baby, burn. But then a raging fire erupted and almost burnt down the entire Palace of Westminster. Old debts die hard, I guess.
So happy banking. Please email any Animojis to and leave us a review if you enjoyed our history of notches. It makes us proud and gives us all kinds of good feelings.
What's New in Version 3.5
Building a bank the world loves to use: Today we’re updating your app to make your online card payments even more secure and give you more peace of mind with your insurances.

Your security is our top priority at N26 – this is why we're introducing Mastercard SecureCode, an additional security layer for online payments that have a higher risk. Because our risk model evaluates all online payments in the background, you won't see this too often. The procedure is called 3DS, which you might know already under the name Mastercard SecureCode. Mastercard SecureCode makes the authentication process easy because it’s linked to your N26 Mastercard, so there is no additional registration required to use 3DS.

+++ Insurance: More peace of mind +++
Now you can see coverage details of your insurance policies, access the contact details to issue a claim with ease and even set a renewal alarm – get a reminder ahead of time before your insurance policies auto-renew the contract.

As you can see, we’re clearly working on new stuff all the time. You know how to make all of this even better? Send us your ideas for improvements directly in the app (Settings > Service > Product Ideas) or send us an email to

Thank you so much for your time, and until next time.
Your team at N26

P.S. Please leave us a review or refresh your old one in the AppStore if you think all of the above is awesome. It doesn’t cost anything but it helps others to find us and it makes us proud.

What's New in Version 3.2.2
Spring is here! From where we sit, the sun is shining, the air is warm and we’ve shed our winter coats for good. No big updates from our side for now, except we cleaned up the contact list and improved security and stability during login – especially when you use TouchID.

We’ll be back soon.
With something new for your future self.

What's New in Version 3.2
N26 is more than just a bank account; it’s a platform for you to run your entire financial life from your phone. You should be able to get everything you regularly expect from your bank from us, but in the distinctly N26 way that makes opaque financial services more accessible, and packages them into one beautifully designed experience. Here’s another example of how we’re making this happen.

[ + ] PDF Transfer Confirmations
Here’s a neat new trick to help make your bookkeeping even simpler. You can now get a PDF confirmation for every outgoing transfer by tapping in the right hand corner of the details page of any transfer.

[ + ] Edit Standing Orders
Finally, a small but highly-requested improvement. You can now change the amount of existing standing orders. You asked for it, and now you have it.

[ + ] Ideas & Reviews
If you have any more ideas for improvements, please send them to or leave them directly in the app (Settings > Service > Product Ideas). If you like what you see, leave a review in the AppStore!

Until next time,
Your N26 Team

Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these updates you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I ain't done much healing
Except my Apple Watch issues
And the Today widget
And my transaction list

Hello, can you hear me?

Your N26 app
What's New in Version 3.0
This update is so major we’re finally doing something we’ve been waiting to do for months – change the first number of our version name. Say hello to version 3.0. You may not notice any difference on the surface, but we’ve tuned everything under the hood to prepare for versions 3.1 and beyond.

Watch your inboxes.
N26 Bank is coming.
What's New in Version 2.11
In our last update we introduced the ability to request money through iMessage. Now you can also do this from within the N26 app.

+++ New Feature: Request money +++
We love doing things with our friends. Eating, talking, dancing, drinking, and now … requesting money. All you have to do is open the transaction menu from anywhere in the app, select Request, select your contact and request your lunch money back.

+++ Improvements and fixes +++
We experienced a few problems with TouchID – these problems should be fixed and you will be able to activate it again. A few speed problems and glitches in the interface were also resolved.

Small side note: These updates are coming hard and fast, and the one BIG THING you may be looking forward to is coming soon. You may be thinking “yeah, right, that’s just a trick to make me pay attention” but this is for real. We’ll send you the mother of all updates soon.

We hear from time to time that you actually read these release notes, and some of you are crazy enough to enjoy reading them. Well if that’s how you really feel, leave us a review in the AppStore. If you have any hilarious jokes or amazing ideas, send them to or leave them directly in the app (Settings > Service > Product Ideas).

Until next time,
Your team at N26
