We’ve made it easier to find and add the right contacts to Receipts, just like we did with Quotes and Invoices. In addition to searching by contact name and account number, you can now search by email address, as well as the first and last name of the primary contact.

We’ve made some improvements to bills and quotes to help keep your records up to date.

Now you can add payments against a bill to record that it’s been paid. If you use quotes, you can mark a quote as invoiced, or create an invoice from it to complete the process.

Other improvements include viewing line item details on bills and the ability to access your files from cloud storage services such as iCloud, Dropbox and OneDrive via the iOS Files app when attaching files.

Two-step authentication support has been added.

Two-step authentication (2SA) adds an extra layer of security to your Xero account, protecting you against attacks such as account phishing. If you have 2SA enabled on your Xero account and login to Xero for iOS using your username and password, you will be prompted to enter your six digit authentication code generated by your chosen authentication app.

It's now even easier to try Xero for free on iOS. Access a demo company with a single tap and practice or play with pretend data, without signing up or sharing your personal information. The demo company will reset each time you exit. Want to practice or play with longer lasting demo data? Sign up first and Xero will remember your changes for up to a month.

Also out: share files such as receipts with your other apps – email them to customers or colleagues, save them to your photo roll and more. If the file is able to be previewed, you can now also share.

We've also been busy smashing bugs:
- The 'Add Files' choices on receipts are no longer sometimes hidden behind the on-screen keyboard
- Spend monies are now always created in the currency of the bank account they are added against

Also, you can add or remove files from approved expense claims in receipts.
